Kind of like the Western Athletic Conference having a school from Louisiana.

Ah, who needs to teach geography anymore? Just use MapQuest ...

I think we should have four play in games every year. With the at-large teams.

    This year you could have.

    Florida vs. Minnesota
    Illinois vs. Mississippi State
    Utah vs. Virginia Tech
    and so on.

I don't understand why there is one play-in game. I feel like brackets should be the same on each side.

Or the Sun Belt with a team from Colorado.

I thought this poll would be, "Who has the most annoying college basketball coverage, ESPN or CBS?"

Maybe we need a play-in game to determine THAT.

Eight teams who don't deserve to be in the tournament

What will they call the Big 10 with 12 or 14 teams?

I would expand the field to 68 teams - - but not to 96 teams - - and have a play-in game in each of the four brackets just to let a few more "wannabees" into the tournament.

It isn't about who is going to win it all; it is about giving three more teams a couple of days of eupohoria until the clock strikes twelve...

Why not just let all the wanabees in Jack. Oh, wait, they already are...in the conference tournaments.

If the 2008 Georgia team, which had a losing record even after winning the SEC Tournament, isn't forced into the play-in game, I think it's safe to say no major-conference team will ever end up there.

Or the Atlantic 10 with St. Louis.

Don't let all of the wannabes in because it would make the tournament run at least two weeks longer than it does in addition to providing some horrid games. But if you have one play-in game, you should have four. At the moment, they have one...

Sixty-four teams is more than enough. There's no need for a 65th team, and there's certainly no need for 96 teams.
