Strict licensure for ALL guns, with a requirement to prove necessity.

Decriminalizing some drugs and diverting resources to getting illegal guns off the streets.

And, yes, I know it'll never happen. Because freedom.

Like that process wouldn't be politicized.

Take a look at the list of folks in NYC who have gotten concealed carry permits. It's full of folks who are politically connected.

Sorry, but I don't think any right should be restricted to the politically connected.

 

Well, it'll have to do until I can work the phones and get enough support for repealing the Second Amendment.

 

Yeah, because repealing the 2nd Amendment would prevent that.

A repeal of the 2nd Amendment wouldn't make firearms illegal. They would just be subjected to state and/or federal law. And, any law passed would have carveouts for the politically connected. There would be exceptions for people who "need" them.

 

And criminals are known for their respect for the law.

 

So let's just get rid of all laws since criminals won't obey them anyway.
