At this point I feel bad for Manziel. Really he is a poor kid barely out of his teens
and he is expected to act like an adult. For whatever reason he has gotten himself
    in the media crosshairs.

As members of the Aggie Community - whether as students, faculty or staff - we aspire to excellence in all that we do. One of the simplest and most straightforward ways to attain excellence is to judge our actions against the Aggie Code of Honor: An Aggie does not lie, cheat or steal, or tolerate those who do. With this as our standard, we pursue excellence in Texas and around the world.

What is the Aggie Code of Honor?

“An Aggie does not lie, cheat or steal, or tolerate those who do.”

The Aggie Code of Honor affirms values that apply to students, faculty and staff alike. This simple statement exemplifies two of our core values—excellence and integrity—and underscores our commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with laws and official policies. These core values forge a strong base to embrace our other core values of leadership, loyalty, respect and selfless service.

    From the ESPN story:

"An agreement has been reached between the NCAA and Texas A&M that a source told ESPN's McMurphy closes the book on Manziel's recent issues.

The NCAA has acknowledged Manziel did not receive money for signing autographs, the source said."

    So, uh....why the suspension?

NCAA: "Look, you know he did it. We know he did it. But we don't have any hard evidence to prove it. How about if y'all suspend hm for a half and we call it a day?"

In better news, A&M is auctioning off the rights to sit with Manziel during that first half.

Opening bid is $20,000, the same amount charged to sit with Manziel at the A&M booster club function earlier this summer.

    Get your bids in now.

So a "suspend him for a half, and we won't keep digging and making a shitstorm of this" type of thing?

I could live with that if I'm A&M.

Now the NCAA can turn its attention back to the smaller schools...

Supposedly this is why he's suspended:

The NCAA is supposedly saying they don't have proof he took money but they don't believe he or A&M did enough to stop people from profiting from the autographs.

It's also worth noting there's still nothing official on this from A&M or the NCAA.
