That may explain Manny decking the 60-plus-year-old Red Sox traveling secretary.

I can't remember where I read or heard it, but in today's era with $50 gazillion contracts, it's up to the players to find out what's being put into their bodies. Even if it's a screw-up with Manny's doctor's medication -- <rolling eyes> -- Manny should've had the brains to ask himself, "Will this get me in trouble?"

    Well, that didn't happen.

Pujols had a .954 OPS in low-A in his first year of pro ball. That's not decent to good. That's extraordinary. He was not MVP 11 months later. He won the rookie of the year. He wasn't MVP until 2005.

Be skeptical of Pujols if you want. Just be accurate about it.

Call me crazy or naive, but I'd take that bet.

He had 19 HRs in 133 games in the minors.

    PUH-lease.

Is marijuana also a 50-game suspension?

I think it's shocking that a star player gets caught like this -- not that a star slugger is doing 'roids.

My bigger worry is what is the scouting report on Juan Pierre.

Cmon, Lance armstrong is involved in the dirtiest sport in the world.

Tiger wouldn't surprise me, nobody would

So does the opening-game-win-streak record get an * now?

If Boras is telling the truth -- that he tested positive for a perscribed drug and not steroids -- does that mean it could have been perscription marijuana? That would certainly change the perception of this news, wouldn't it?
