The last guy to have it burned some bridges behind him.

Might be the only place Ace could work...

The Carl Spackler pipeline says Davey Johnson will be hired for this position. I'm a little taken aback, to be honest. I heard there was some serious disciplinary and drug issues at one of his previous shops.

Not to worry, Gannett will get rid of the position soon enough

What a buncha fucktards in management. I sent my resume. Did I even hear a perfunctory "thanks for playing but no?"
Seriously, aren't I entitled, with all I've done, to get a simple reply?

I could have sworn you were given a courtesy interview.

I hear you. It's frustrating not to even get an email.

I'm sure all of us are wondering how do you get to the top of the pile when the ad says no phone calls? I've managed T-ball and rec softball, and wipe out the competition when I play MLB '12 The Show. I deserve a chance at the bigs. Maybe if all the old timers quit to give the up-and-comers a shot, I'd land a gig like this in no time.

You know, if they've got someone in mind for the position, why bother posting it and getting our hopes up?

Don't the Nationals have to interview outside candidates? I think it's the law.
