    Probably. Been a while since I saw the original series, but I don't remember Spock smiling any other time. He thought he had killed Kirk.

    In college, I always hated that one night a year, because it meant that there was one less hour to party at the bars.

    In the fall, on the other hand .... :)

    Where I went to college, we rioted over losing that hour of partying.

    It's not the hour of partying so much, because let's face it, you can still drink at people's apartments/houses. It's the hour less of sleep that really sucks.

    Problem was, we had to be quiet if we wanted to drink on-campus (those little legal issues). Off-campus, everyone usually just went to bed. But I hear ya on losing that hour's sleep. It usually takes me a couple of days to get back in a good sleep pattern.
