You're getting caught up in a comment I made as an aside. The point is, there is no serious push out there - even among gun owners - to restore felons rights of access. There's a small rolling back of the stringent rules where you see the unintended consequences of differing policy objectives (dramatic increase in the number of crimes classified as felonies v. the goal of hampering violent criminals access to guns) in allowing states to restore rights. Gun owners - and the NRA - are far more concerned with attempts to limit access to certain types of weapons, magazines and to restrict where firearms can be carried than they are with restoring felons access to guns.

Yes, the losses sustained by the GOP and Tea Party in 2010 were enormous.

But you are correct that our country has been in huge trouble because of the 2008 elections.

You're free to tell me how 2010 was a bad year for Republicans. I'll wait right here.

It caused them to think their same strategy of screaming about DEATH PANELS would work in 2012.

You ran away and hid for weeks after your boy Mittsy lost.
You're free to tell us about that. We're still waiting right here.

2010 and 2012 were good but not great years for the GOP as they kept the House but couldn't solve the Senate. 2014 won't solve any gridlock either as it'll take 60 GOP votes to bust a filibuster, but good luck.
