Mercifully, they caught this lunatic before something bad happened.

This is worse than the kid who went to Logan with the fake bomb strapped on her chest. Who thinks stuff like this is funny?

How is it profiling? Guns are not allowed on campuses, by and large.

    UWINNIPEG SECURITY UPDATE

The safety and security of students, faculty and staff remains our number one priority. The University of Winnipeg is doing everything possible to ensure the provision of a safe and secure learning and work environment on our campus today, on Sept. 26, and into the future.

The University continues to work closely with the Winnipeg Police Services to investigate a message left on a washroom wall that was reported by a student on Wednesday, Sept. 19 warning of an occurrence on the morning of Sept. 26.

The University will be open for business on Sept. 26 with enhanced security measures in place.

    * Most classes on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007 will go ahead as scheduled. Students should monitor this link on the University's homepage or the video message screens at the main entrances for updates.
    * Entry to the University is limited to the following main entry points until further notice:
o Front (south) door to Centennial Hall
o Spence Street (west) door to Riddell Hall
o Front (south) door to the Duckworth Centre
o Front (south) door to Wesley Hall for Collegiate Staff & Students
    * Everyone entering the campus will be subject to bag searches. Additional staff will be present at these entrances to help alleviate delays.
    * People coming to campus are asked to arrive early to avoid delays.
    * These security measures will continue until further notice. Regular updates will be posted on the University's homepage as they become available.

You carry a rifle on campus, you will be arrested. I dunno what John Birch-ian point you're trying to pull out your ass, yab.

And my first thought was, H_Beat found out Jarvis was back on campus.

No need to worry if it was a basketball player. Everyone knows they can't shoot for shit.

That was what I was worried about, too. :D

Seriously, what are people thinking? Or are they thinking at all?

Are students who hunt allowed to keep their guns in their dorm rooms?

It seems like they could back when I was in school, but that was a while ago and the world has changed a bit since then.
