Making adult businesses illegal

    As opposed to a Boomers in Marietta or perhaps an Oasis in Dunwoody? 8)

    Now I'm a firm supporter (he, he) of the right for strip clubs to exist, but your comment here is spot on. And why the original letter is logically flawed. The premise isn't that there are more children molested in the proximity of adult establishments; as has been commented on above, that's a pretty absurd comment (and hard to argue which may make it seem more worthy). The real premise is that strip clubs near schools or places where children are can potentially be a bad influence on a young, curious mind and perhaps lead or serve as a catalyst to bad behavior or poor life choices as that youngster grows up. And while proving the correlation may be difficult, it would seem to be a case of where you don't want to even create the opportunity for something like that to occur.

    Meanwhile, keep me posted on when the Alpharetta club opens.
