    Editor - SUM Digital (New York, NY)

    Summary
    Editor will work with the newly formed editorial team on content for League website. Will produce and edit video projects and distribute via website and other content partners.

    Editor in Chief, MLS Digital [Greg Lalas]
    Lead Editor, MLS Digital [Scott Riddell]
    Editor, MLS Digital [Daniel Haiek]

    Employees Managing Directly None

    Primary Responsibilities
    Primary focus of creating original content for outside partners (AT&T fulfillment)
    Edit internal office video requests and content for website (focus on Spanish content)
    Work with International Communications group on Spanish coverage
    Delivery of internal & external footage requests
    Assist with production of all website editorial content
    Manage external video delivery to content partners (YouTube, Sling, Hulu, etc)

    Other Roles
    As deemed necessary by Senior Video Producer, MLS Digital

    Required Skills
    Spanish proficiency
    Final Cut Pro/Avid (or similar) & After Effects (or similar) editing experience
    Photoshop experience
    Ability to shoot with DV Cameras, including sound and lighting techniques
    Excellent time management
    Ability to work on several projects at once and stick to deadlines
    Willingness to travel and work unconventional hours and weekends when necessary

    Preferred Skills
    Knowledge and passion for Major League Soccer
    Experience in sports industry

    I'm guessing they won't bend on the Spanish requirement because they list it even before experience cutting with a NLE.

    Youtube is a content partner? do the video editors have to vote 5 stars after uploading the highlights?

    Ever been to an MLS game? They won't bend on the Spanish requirement.

    Hispanics represent a major chunk of both the league's fan base and its players.
