Major crisis in Canada as CBC may drop Hockey Night in Canada Theme Song

I believe Romanuk's wife is a big-time exec with a company based in Europe and he lives over there which is why he pops up on Sportsnet doing the Spengler Cup.

 

JR, how were you able to get the theme as your ringtone?

 

Downloaded it from Rogers Wireless to whom HC & I pay big bucks every month for cable, internet & cell phone service.

Rogers also owns the Blue Jays, Rogers Centre aka Skydome, the Sportsnet regional stations, and is this country's largest cable provider. I ffigured they could use an extra $5.00

 

Good for you. Large companies always need the loyal support of their customers.

Maybe it'll be on the next Arcade Fire CD.

 

Replace it with "Big League" by Tom Cochrane or "The Hockey Song" by Stompin' Tom.

 

Nobody will stop watching HNIC because they drop the theme song.

CBC TV sucks moose scrotum, hockey is the only halfway decent thing on it.

Save the money spent on the theme song and bring back this guy.

 

Apparently JR has some pull with NPR, because this was on "All Things Considered" this afternoon.
