An excess supply in Maine of smaller soft-shell lobsters has driven prices to under $4 a pound, the Associated Press reported this week, making the luscious sea creature cheaper than the per pound price of deli meat in some cases.

Where in the fuck is deli meat even close to $4 a pound? It's $6.99 here for the cheapest shit.

Wegmans was handing out free samples of lobster on Friday. It was just pornographic.

I love lobster, don't get me wrong, but one of the main reasons we have so much of it is that we've overfished all its natural predators. Another ten years and we'll be grinding it up to feed to cattle - and wild cod will cost $25 a pound.

Have you ever had Boars Head? That stuff goes between 7.99 and 8.99. Per pound and is worth every penny. Once you've had Boars Head, you won't go back to the generic store stuff.

It's lunch meat. When it's more expensive than steak, the line has been crossed.

Also known as the Pastrami Meridian, or the Tropic of Peppercorn.

Hmmm...have to head to the store tomorrow anyway. Will have to check out the prices. Not sure what Maine lobster prices are like in Texas.....

Deli meat is one area where you get what you pay for. I'd never buy Giant brand at Giant. Boars Head is superior right down the line.

Now get me two McLobsters to go.

Boar's Head taste the same as any other slimy, processed lunch meat that sits under lights all day. It's all disgusting.
