She won't be unemployed. It's her publication.

I actually know Monica fairly well. She's not in New England and asked me to help find the publication on the newsstand, but it didn't get to the part of Vermont I live near.

Her original letter, and the followup, were very polite.

I think this woman just stepped in the stupid.

Wow. I've never seen such righteous ignorance.
See I cleaned up Ace's words and made them my own. There's no harm in that.

Congrats. Now you can go to work at the Plain Dealer.

And I'm sure this woman wouldn't have quite the reaction if someone lifted her stuff. But it's probably not worth lifting anyways.

The editor got on Facebook and thanked the offended writer for all the new FB friends. Nevermind they are all flaming her.

The viralness -- virality, viralitude? -- of what's happening to this magazine's Facebook page(s) is hilarious. They've started new pages, threatened people over hacking (read: "liking" and posting), tried to stem the tide. It's only making things much, much worse. They're in a really nasty loop of "fucked up, tried to explain it away, and now this shit isn't going away anytime soon."
