Mackenzie Phillips & Her Papa: A Love Story

Saw some excerpts from her interview with Oprah today. Truly horrifying stuff.

remember she had that guy who wrote a book about his drug escapades, and it turned out he lied about much of the content.

I loved that episode. Oprah's minge. "Maybe I'll just get a little high." "I'm not a towel, you're a towel."

 

I didn't say it was true. I said it was horrifying. Either way, if she dreamed it up or if it happened.

 

Real or not, (I'm, inclined to believe it is), it constanlty amazes me the shit "celebrities" (i.e. the Maureen McCormacks, and Mackenzie Phillips and the Celeb rehabbers) of the world will reveal about themselves or make money and stay in the spotlight.
It is sad for her, it really is, but I don't care.
The only reason she is bringing the stuff up now is to make some money and generate some buzz and publicity. It disgusts me.

 

i think mackenzie just needs a little cash.

 

John Phillips was one fucked up individual during the 70s and into the 80s. And that's probably an understatement.

I guess only MacKenzie knows if it's true or not, but I certainly find it believable based on dad's deviant, almost sub-human behavior during that period.

 

Didn't she do a tell-all years ago -- either a book or a talk-show tour?

Yes, John Phillips is dead. Died in 2001.
