I have a mac mini that's been working perfectly until now. Starting today, Firefox crashes constantly. I downloaded a new version of firefox, and it still crashed constantly. I got rid of firefox and downloaded opera. Now opera crashes constantly. Safari seems to work, but I'd rather not use safari.

I've gone into disk utility and repaired disk permissions.

    What's wrong with my computer?

    Memory full?

I have plenty of memory. I have an 80GB hard drive and more than 50GB still available.

Also, I disabled all extensions on firefox.

EDIT: Now Safari is crashing frequently, as well. This is not good.

try dumping your preference files for those programs. that's what our techies do when quark crashes. I would back them up then dump them. worth a try.

That's not memory; it's hard drive space. How much RAM do you have?

    Step 1. Unplug your Mac.
    Step 2. Throw it out.

Do other programs crash, or just internet browsers?

I think it's just web browsers. I used photoshop today and it worked fine. Safari seems a little more stable, but Firefox and Opera are completely worthless, crashing within a minute or two after I start browsing.

On a semi-related note: I'd never heard of Opera until this thread. I downloaded it yesterday and I think I like it better than Firefox.
