    Adelson's been happy to go public with his other political activities. Why should owning the Vegas paper need to be a big secret?

    This is what I don't get, just like anything people try to keep secret these days. It's just delaying the inevitable. Just get it over with and be done with it.

    When a wealthy family says it purchases something, it screams out "we need to put the fuckup son/son-in-law/grandkid 'in charge' of something."

    Or maybe I'm just projecting. Ha.

    If that's the line of thinking here, letting GateHouse continue to run things makes little sense. So the Adelsons are going to be glorified heads of the editorial board? A position with some power, sure, but you'd think they'd want more juice.

    I would really like to know the back story on the decision to publish that story. I thought it was a very brave thing to do given the new ownership.
