Too bad. I've always liked Lute (from afar, really).
Still, after everything he went through w/ his wife, he's had it rough.

Lute Olson is 73. At that age, everything is health-related to some extent.

Talk about a change in styles.

Lute's about as gentlemanly and low-key as it gets on the court. Kevin O'Neill, meanwhile, could make a sailor blush with his language.

It'll be interesting to see how long this leave lasts.

Didn't he remarry like six weeks later?

And I like Lute, too. Hope he's OK.

His wife died in January 2001. He remarried in April 2003.

    Watch out, 'Zona.

    KO means two things.

    1. You will have one game where neither team scores 50 points.
    2. You will have to move your timeout talks to midcourt to avoid making children cry. It happened at Tennessee.

  8. "I would drag my balls over broken glass for 10 miles just to hear him piss in a tin cup on the radio."
    -- Kevin O'Neill, on a prospective recruit.
    You stay classy, Arizona.

You shouldn't judge people's sexual preferences. But he should really invest in a cheap Walkman.

Foxsports.com says the leave of absence will last the entire season and he hopes to come back next season. Makes me curious about what the reason is since he says it's not health related.</a>

Makes you wonder how/if it'll affect their recruiting class coming in next year. They've already signed a hell of a group, including the No. 1 kid in the country in Brandon Jennings.
