Maybe the white guy's name is Ben Obo, or Bryson Clarinet.

You have got to be kidding me. That's what the book is about?

Gives me all the more reason to side with Whitlock about Loopy. Not only is he a pentulant little brat, but a "story ripper" as well.

story ripper = ripping out the headlines or stories we've already heard and read about.

The heartwarming tale of Bobby Percussion and Gary Navers, teammates on the Chicago Grizzlies.

After that, we get the tale of Darrius Dirt, a lightning quick boxer who faces losing his career in his prime because he won't go to war in Taiwan. Darrius eventually changes his name to Buddha Pali and fights his nemesis, Smoldering John Dozier, in an epic battle in Honolulu.

This book is followed by a story about a troubled baseball player from the slums of Miami who rises to fame with the New York Megas. Damon Raspberry is the ultimate 5-tool player who eventually throws his life away doing crack and seeks redemption with the cross-town rival New York Americans.....

    The possibilities are limitless

Were I Larry Bird, I'd seek out the author, pull the Manhattan phone book out from under
his seat at his writing desk, and slap him silly.
