Ol' Pat was in our house last Saturday.
    Interesting guy.

He's quite busy trying to lift Towson State to .500 for the first time in more than 10 years.

Next time you see him, tell him the entire state of Montana said "hi."

Was Brady getting some pansexual extramarital action with Pokey Chattman?

Brady's a good coach, but in truth Collis Temple Jr., a former player with a strong connection to the Baton Rouge youth basketball community, and a 3-point shot by Darrel Mitchel had more to do with getting LSU to a Final Four than did Brady.

My question on this one is, who makes the call? Isn't Bertman retiring later this year? Will a new AD be in place by the Final Four? It will be hard to pull a heavy hitter for this job if they don't know who the AD is going to be. Especially at a football school.

Not a favorite among fellow coaches, either. Hence the nickname Shady.

Bertman (who retires June 30) said Friday the coach will be hired before the new A.D. is hired -- and even before the new chancellor is hired. Bertman is saying it's his call, but there's a lot of suspicion that John Lombardi, the first-year president of the LSU System, will drive the train behind the scenes. Lombardi was at Florida when it hired the likes of Foley, Spurrier and Donovan, and he is no wallflower.

Well then, LSU can pretty much forget pulling a big name for this job. Definitely should focus on Anthony Grant, etc.

Easier said than done...One of Moddy's new jobs is to hide Anthony Grant in a cellar somewhere until the coaching silly season ends. :D
