The Chic-fil-A starting line-ups, GEICO game recap, AFLAC trivia question, Home Depot scoreboard, New York Life line of scrimmage line, Verizon Red Zone and CBS national ad sales team will not need any Viagra to get up for this one.

I think that in honor of this game we should end every post on this thread with Roll Tide.

    Roll Tide.

My stepfather, brother and I will be there Saturday morning to try and get on GameDay. Then, we'll hit a few bars (fuck tailgating in Tuscaloosa -- I'm an Ole Miss tailgater) and be back in time for kickoff.

Biggest regular season game since when? OSU-Michigan in 2007?

First time the SEC has had a 1 vs. 2 regular season matchup.

I think because of that, this game might be a touch bigger. In this case, I think it's also more clear that the winner of this game is the favorite in the Sugar Bowl.

You know the bigwigs at ESPN are saying to themselves.....FUCK.....we should be in Stillwater doing our game, instead of Uncles Verne and Gary.

I'm assuming you're not counting conference championship games as "regular season" (though they have always been treated as such, stats and record-wise). Bama-Florida in the 2008 SEC championship was 1 vs 2.

But yeah Mizzou, that OSU-Michigan game in 2007 was the last 1 vs 2 in a non-conference title game or BCS bowl.

    Oklahoma-Texas in 2008 was 1 vs. 5, and Texas-Texas Tech was 1 vs 6.

It's also quite clearly the biggest game ever in Tuscaloosa, given that Bama always played its biggest games in Birmingham until the late 1990s. They had some epic showdowns with Auburn, Tennessee, Penn State and USC at Legion Field over the years, but probably the closest thing to this in T-town (at least from a national standpoint) was vs. LSU in 2005.

Bama was 9-0 and ranked No. 4 and LSU was 7-1 and ranked No. 5. LSU won 16-13 in OT when JaMarcus Russell threw a 100-mph fastball right through Charlie Peprah's hands to Dwayne Bowe for the winning TD.

It will be interesting to see how far the loser drops next week. Boise better hope the loser drops below them. If not, the Broncos are all but done for the national championship.

LSU may be the best college team I've seen in a few years. Not sure what the spread is, but I'll take LSU to win straight up, and probably to cover if they're favored.

The winner is the favorite in the Super Bowl.
