Singletary would make Lovie look like George Halas.

Maybe The Bears will beat The Cubs to the punch and hire Ryan Sandberg.

I'd bet Pioli is gone by the end of the week. It wasn't exactly a ringing endorsement he got today, and if Clark Hunt wants to see true fan unrest, he can keep Pioli and allow him to hire someone like McDaniels as HC.

There wouldn't be 30,000 people at Arrowhead at the opener next season.

True. But that would be a Bears kind of hire. The Bears' 1985-obsessed fan base would eat it up too ... for a while.

I would hope so... You remove Pioli from the mix and they might be able to hire someone decent.

Maybe Pioli will hire Charlie Weiss. Not sure what Weiss is doing now but he is a proven top notch NFL O coordinator.

If that's the case, then he's gone...

If Hunt can get someone like Cower then Pioli is a gonner.

saban has to scratch that nfl itch one more time. he wants to be the next belichick.

my .02: the browns will offer him the whole kit and kaboodle to return to cleveland and reunite him with his running back..... 8).

I wonder about that... For Saban he would leave for one reason only and that would be ego. I would hope he would be smarter than that, but who knows? As was pointed out, if he fails, he could pick any college job he wants to come back to...

Or Bill Cowher. Either way, ain't no way he's coming back to the Chiefs, where he was DC in the late '80s/early '90s.

Chiefs owner Clark Hunt moves slowly, but he has to know that season ticket renewals will nosedive if Pioli is kept around. That alone should make the decision easy. Hire a new GM — who, I have no idea — and let him hire a coach.

I would love to see Nick Saban come back to the NFL for what it would do to his ego and the mental stability of Alabama fans. It would be particularly awesome to see him cry to the refs about stop Brady and Manning being big meanies with their no-huddle offense that doesn't let him sub in defenders.
