I'm surprised our resident nitwits haven't chimed in gleefully with "See? See? Democrats are crooks too!" not realizing the previous seven Congressmen to be investigated for corruption were Republicans.

And guess who gets sentenced to federal PMITA today? Coincidental timing? Perhaps.

There's no parole in the federal system.

We're journalists. We don't have spare cash enough to fill a soda can, let alone a freezer.

This is where I reiterate my "all-politicians-are-sleazy" stance.

I've never agreed with that stance. Change all to most, and I'm with you. But there are honest men and women on both sides of the aisle, doing their jobs and trying to serve their country and constituencies to the best of their abilities. It's a shame they get lumped in with the greedy, corrupt pigfuckers.

  10. Not even most, Doc.
It's time for my regular post about how the they're-all-swine-so-fuck-politics is the death knell for self-government, and is really empty cynicism masquerading as intellectual rigor.

    I can go with that.

This is where I reiterate my "damn-near-all-politicians-are-sleazy" stance.

Because I don't trust politicians and don't enjoy politics, I'm an empty cynic masquerading as an intellect?
