    You sure about that, Alma?

Quite a few journalists -- granted mostly in Kentucky -- tweeting about it or posting the link to her blog/column/article.

Photos Soignier tweeted on her own:
    - Her wearing a white ULM jersey in a locker room
    - Her in a selfie with a ULM lineman on bus to UK game
    - Her with LSU coach Les Miles (she congratulated him in a tweet Saturday)

Photos posted by others of Soignier
    - Her posing with ULM tight ends coach Jerry McManus
    - Her wearing a ULM helmet (as a promo by her paper for ULM coverage)
    - Her wearing Louisiana Tech colors interviewing LT players during a LT luncheon (when she was an LT beat writer)

    Not to mention:
    - Her using "faux pas" journalist
    - Her saying it was Towles who threw the interception, when it was Jojo Kemp
    - Her using "must have went" instead of "must have gone"

Not sure she should be the self-ordained messenger about how being a fanboi/homer journalist is wrong.

She's also been on twitter silence since the weekend.
Maybe YankeeFan's buddy Caleb Hannan told her to lay low for a while.

In a related angle, I thought Tabby is a cat.

    Meow.

  5. It is funny watching reporters from Podunk calling out "big-shot" SEs from a metropolis such as Monroe.

Are we talking comments or retweets? Comments, I'm sure there's no limit to those. RTs generally revolve around stuff you want people to read, though.
Mostly in the Kentucky. That's not 500 journalists. That's, like, 20 beat folks.

Depends on who they work for. If they're working for some quasi house organ like one of the recruiting sites, which need to cozy up to assistant coaches so they can find out which three-star just got an offer, agreed.

College beat reporting has been altered fundamentally and irrevocably by the recruiting sites.

Nah, she's dressing as Dean Baquet for Halloween and getting a jump on it.

It's interesting when covering the SEC. The majority of the writers covering the teams there went to a school in the conference and many have the same biases that a lot of people have about the schools they rooted against when they were in college. Some hide it well and some don't even try to.

But there are plenty of instances of people who immediately started covering their alma maters shortly after graduation who did a great job covering their schools.

I don't care what the UK writers did or didn't do in the press box. The person most at fault here is the ULM writer.

Except he played a different sport (baseball) and is already gone.
No like her brother plays football currently for ULM.
