And two seconds later, you and the GOP you love so much will rip him for not doing it sooner.

Well, when you get down there and say "this is not a photo op" and then immediately start posing for photos -- less than a minute after he leaves the podium!! -- I would say it's not so hard to question the guy's sincerity. Especially since I was paraphrasing his embarrassing, self-honoring speech from election night 2008.

When his excuse was that he'd just be in the way, he should have just stuck to it. Showing up now just shows he was shamed into it. Weakness personified.

OK, so when would have been an appropriate time for him to come in, and keep in mind that an early arrival takes up resources.

Let's face facts: He showed up today because he didn't have a tee time scheduled. #Priorities

He's a jackass because he doesn't go. Repubs gnash teeth and render garments because he's playing golf at a time when he really can't do anything anyway but rubber stamp federal agencies to go in. After hearing people call him out on it, he decides to actually do what his critics say he should do and he's weak? Good God. You guys really don't know when to shut it.

If Obama showing up brings in more publicity and donations for flood relief (and doesn't hamper rescue operations) then good for him.

You're a sad, desperate loser. Sack up once in a while.

The story all along was that he was staying away until his presence would not be a disruption to relief efforts. His approach has been consistent all along, the opposite of the hypocritical bleating of you and other Republicans on the matter.

    You're right, yOsemiTe.

Responding to the Will of the American People is weakness personified.

I hope Ryan Lochte whizzes all over the Oval Office rugs.

The simple truth is Tony, YF and many other Republicans would find a reason to criticize any course of action Obama took in this situation, as they do in any situation. They have been doing so throughout his presidency and now they are even more desperate because they feel any attack on the Democrats serves to somehow justify their impending vote for Donald Trump.
