Louisiana family keeps woman as sex slave

Just a god awful, weird situation. A family in rural Louisiana kept an autistic woman in the equivalent of a large dog kennel in their back yard, and was using her as a sex slave and prostitute. She'd been living in the cage since October.

The interviews/images in this news report come across to me as so sadly fitting of the worst stereotypes about the rural South. Remind me to skip Amite, Lousiana on my next southerly vacation.

As for the story itself, sickening. I can see how one lone psycho would do this. But a group of at least five people in a small rural town all agreeing that "let's kidnap the helpless girl, lock her in a cage, use her as a sex slave..." sounded like a grand idea just boggles the mind. Humans suck. Everyone remotely involved in this deserves as much starman justice as the law allows.
