Coach K's sense of humor is the same place as my stamina.

Yeah, because I remember that being such a big part of his presidential campaign. He made that point often, in between pick-up games.

You guys should listen to Coach K's show on XM/Sirius radio.
He's much more down-to-earth than you think.
He can tell interesting stories and be a regular guy, I promise you.

Coaching Duke to such perfection-ridden heights has a cost.
Nobody could have done or will do what he's done at Duke.
    Nobody.

Wooden's UCLA teams were good, and he's among the elite, but his feats were much easier to pull off at Westwood than in the ACC and at Duke.

You have to distance yourself in some way, in order to ascend to the highest plateaus.

Also, I don't agree with his "attack" on Obama. I also don't think "attack" is a good description of what happened.

    Stop it.

If that was Mrs. K, there would have been at least 27 "motherfuckers" in there.

No, Daddy Bush was not included in the count.

A positive distraction from reality is never a bad thing. So he rooted for the Steelers (whose owner backed him during the primary and general election) and now the Tar Heels (whose practice he dropped by last April while on the campaign trail). No real harm there.

If all he did was take 20 minutes out of his time to do the piece, like ESPN says, I don't see a problem with it. It's not like he spent a month at his ranch on vacation, not talking to CIA directors about terrorist threats. It doesn't seem like he's taking much time off, period.

What did Calvin Coolidge say to Coach K during the first weekend of the Tournament?

    "You lose."

I want Coach K to do no more American Express commercials until Duke returns to the Final Four. Gotta focus on your basketball team, Mike!
