Q: What sucks worse than a loved one in the hospital?
    A: Two of them.

Don't have the time (or energy) to go into the full story now, but prayers are requested. My wife just got out of the hospital Saturday after going in Monday night complaining of stomach pain. For her trouble, she got to have her gall bladder removed, as well as three different "scopes" before they finally dislodged a stone trapped in her bile duct.

Since I was staying with her all week, I didn't get to see my Granny before her heart bypass surgery on Thursday. She hasn't woken up since, and her doctor is now worried she may have suffered a stroke.

    More later ...

Jesus Dixie, you definitely have my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully, your wife is doing better and your grandmother will be doing likewise very soon.

  9. Dixie:

Best wishes to for a speedy recovery for both your wife and grandmother. And to you, I've been in these situations and know how emotional this has to be watching from the outside with no control over anything. Good luck bud.

Thanks everybody. Wife is doing much better today. Granny, not so much. I'm leaving out for Nashville in a few minutes.
