I will go edit that post. I'm not even sure where it was, but I'll find it. (I've found it.) All I ask is for accountability. Why do you think it's "the mark of a fanboi"? Or was "fanboi" the wrong word?

 

The fanboi type, then. Sports 24/7, mimics everything he hears on TV.

If it's the wrong word, it's the wrong word.

 

I see it too often in non-sports writing to buy into that theory. I think writers view perfect tenses as a way to sound fancy.

 

Good for Selena. If I find a passbook or information about a 7-figure windfall when my father dies, I and my brother will be off the grid.

I'm used to taking hits and can deal with that but for Deadspin to exploit my dead mom and with info I told them was off, it's a new low.
