    "Long" as it is used to describe athletes this days, is that a fairly new (and already fairly worn out) term, or did I just miss it the first couple decades of my life?

    To determine exactly when it entered the common vernacular, just look up the date when Jay Bilas did his first segment of NBA Draft analysis for ESPN...
