I could see us getting the Carling Cup Final within the next decade.

Not as long as the Carling Cup final continues to be played in the middle of the season.

Which is another strike against a London Super Bowl. The kickoff time is set for about 6:20 ET for a reason: So the network that has the rights that year will get prime-time eyeballs for the game AND a 10 p.m. lead-in to one of their series. Move the kickoff earlier and you lose the prime-time numbers (remember, February is sweeps).

A 6:20 ET kickoff means 11:20 GMT (London time). The network would demand this time for kickoff. Remember, this is midnight in the dead of British winter, which is not necessarily frigid all the time temperature-wise but the dampness chills you to the bone.

Why does that show have to begin at 10? Couldn't it start at 8 or 9? Wouldn't it, in fact, get more viewers that way, because you'd lose fewer people who go to bed/go home from parties to get ready for work the next day?

The Super Bowl doesn't have to be in prime time to get people watching.

No, but it has to be in primetime to get the biggest ratings number and ad rates for the TV network.

One of these days, a few NFL franchises will run out of money in American communities and eventually, the NFL, like beer and autos, will be run by foreign communitiies.

Dude, you know I'm from England, right? Grew up near London?

Your guys are buying soccer clubs, not vice versa as long as the TV Networks continue to allow the NFL and its owners to print money.
