    Here's one:
John make a dish by using exactly six ingredients - apples, bacon, cabbage, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes - added to the dish one food at a time. No food is added more than once. The order in which he adds the foods to the dish must be consistent with the following:

If the cabbage is added third, then the bacon is added last.
If the tomatoes are added first, then the bacon is added at some time before the mushrooms.
Neither the onions nor the apples is added fifth.
The cabbage is added at some time before the onions or the apples, but not before both.

    Questions:
    1. Which one of the following foods CANNOT be added first?

    A. apples
    B. bacon
    C. cabbage
    D. mushrooms
    E. onions

    2. If the bacon is added last, then which one of the following must be true?

    A. At least one of the foods is added at some time before the tomatoes
    B. At least two of the foods are added at some time before the apples
    C. The cabbage is added third
    D. The tomatoes are added third
    E. The onions are added fourth

    etc.
