    There's a long and sordid political history as to who calls it what. For example, the World Trade Organization would say the team represented the Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu.

    AP style is Taiwan, I believe. China would rather the island nation be called Chinese Taipei because it believes Taiwan, just like Hong Kong and Macau, belongs to them under its One China policy.
