It had its moments, but Kentucky Fried Movie worked those corners much better.

Oatmeal Creme Pies are the only LD product I'd take over most Hostess offerings. Ho Hos, Ding Dongs, Cupcakes and Zingers (any flavor) beat anything Debbie has to offer. Chocodiles would too if they were available on the East Coast. Do Suzy Qs still exist?

And before anyone says anything, you can take that Tastycake shit back to Philthadelphia where it belongs.

Oh man, Suzy-Qs were the guilty pleasure of my youth. Haven't seen them in forever, which probably is a good thing for my health.

Do the mini donuts get included in this? Both offer them, but the Little Debbie versions are virtually inedible. Love me some Oatmeal Cream Pie and Nutty Bars, but the top-notch quality of the Hostess Donettes puts them over the top for me.

Gotta throw some Canuckistani love for Vachon's Half Moons and Jos. Louis.

That scene in Honey I Shrunk the Kids with the giant Oatmeal Creme Pie was food porn for me as a 10 year old.

Read somewhere that Nick Saban has two oatmeal creme pies for breakfast every day. So there ya go, they're not fattening.

    I miss Hostess' orange cupcakes.

Also, McKee owns both Little Debbie's and Drake after the Hostess bankruptcy.

Little Debbie? Seriously? I worry about the sanity of those who voted for anything other than Hostess, even considering Versatile's HORRIBLE selection of representative products.

Little Debbie snacks are just quicker bites. Small, cheap, sweet, requiring little commitment. Usually? No little paper thing to recycle, just a clear wrapper. Hostess ones are bigger, messier, stickier and usully more complex, with icing and filling. They usually require handwashing.

I won't think twice about grabbing a Fudge Round or a Double Decker Oatmeal Cream pie. They cost less than a buck. Twinkles, zingers or Susy Q's require more money and a moment of time where you have to consider how to not crush them.

I'd have thought all this through a little more and edited it down, but I'm typing on my phone from the crapper.

Bullshit. Tastykake Krimpets were a staple food in my youth. Learning to put them in the fridge so the icing didn't stick to the wrapper (or just basically eating the wrapper to get the icing were rites of passage.
The peanut butter Kandy Kakes are also wonderful.
I do realize, however, that Tastykake has largely been a regional brand (didn't see it down south until the recent Hostess missteps), so I can agree that they don't belong in this particular discussion.
