    I searched. I didn't find. I don't know how this thread doesn't exist.

    Pick three:

    1. Preferred (affordable) liquor to get drunk on.
    2. Your regular dram.
    3. Your special-occasion dram.

    Go.

    1. Preferred (affordable) liquor to get drunk on: Vodka tonic — well, not call. Homemade margarita with fresh lime and agave nectar; when you do it that way, Cuervo is good enough.
    2. Your regular dram: The Macallan, 12 years old.
    3. Your special-occasion dram: The Macallan, 20.

Went to a Glenmorangie Scotch tasting event last night with their head distiller:

I'm not a huge Scotch drinker by any means, but it was a very cool event. We got to try 7 different varieties. I really enjoyed all of them.

And the guy was fucking hilarious.

I am a Scotch person myself, with the occasional margarita and gin and tonic thrown in. But I drink very little hard liquor these days. We are primarily a wine household now.

For the past several years, I've gone on an alcohol fast from the Super Bowl to Paddy's Day, kind of a drunkard's Lent, so I am not currently indulging. Bad timing this year, I have to attend a quincineara tomorrow.

Usually, I'm a devout bourbon drinker, with Wild Turkey being my usual.
In my younger days, I enjoyed a larger variety of spirits.
During the fall, I went on a tequila kick. We put in lime trees, and the fruit was so outstanding it seemed a shame not to enjoy the limes with tequila. However, by the time lime season was over I was ready to get back to bourbon.
Next lime season = sometimes tequila, sometimes mojitos, sometimes lime rickeys
