Liquid lunch

It's a Monday squeezed in between a weekend and a statutory holiday, so we're at half staff.

I'm taking the rest of the week off, since I still have three weeks of holidays in the bank.

I've performed the menial tasks I had planned to last the day, so I'm surfing the web looking for entertainment. In 27 minutes, I'm heading to Palomino's (hi Pastor!) for a plate of meat and a beer.

That's all. I just felt like sharing.

Me too, Flasher, and I don't even start work for 2 1/2 hours.

Damn, Nov. 11 is a stat holiday out there? Not here, hasn't been for years.

 

We are kind of spoiled out here. Plus, we gave you Family Day.

brisket burrito. rockin' Q. odessa, texas. and they were damn good.

 

How anyone could choose brisket when pork que is on the menu is something I'll never understand.

 

Brisket is delicious. I'm going to find a good bbq place to eat tonight.

 

A plate of meat, a handful of grilled veggies, and the Yukon gold/sweet potato mash.

Life is good some days.

 

I agree brisket is good. But when placed beside the greatness that is pulled pork ... well, not so much.

 

I would like both. I actually had a good pulled pork sandwich last week. Good stuff.
