They never should have screwed with it in the first place - give me the old school Lions logo and unis over the Millen era logo any day.

First order of business should have been getting rid of the black unis.

Shouldn't the tail be between the legs?

The best part of the story:

"...at a news conference Monday attended by dozens of fans."

    Classic.

If you stare at the Lions lettering long enough, you'd swear you could see 0-16 embedded in it like the 11 in the Big Ten logo.

    It's all about marketing.

Not bad. similar to what the Dolphins, Cardinals, Seahawks,49ers, Eagles and others have done, keeping the basic design and just tweaking it a bit.

But, yeah, wish they would ditch the black uniforms with the blue numerals.

For some reason, the presser was at a regional sporting goods store, so there likely wasn't much room. Not that thousands or hundreds of fans would have come anyway,

I imagine said store had a deal with the team for an exclusive period to be the seller of new gear with the logo.

That's what all these logo and color changes are about... sell, sell, sell.

I think they did, judging from this photo:

Hey, worked for the Buccaneers. (Granted, they were on their way up anyway.)
