Linda Cohn hostess for the former Dan Patrick show today

    Consider this a warning.

    I've always found it humorous to hear her northern accent really come out on the radio. I have nothing against the accent, mind you. It's just interesting how you don't tend to hear as much when she's reading copy on SportsCenter. It's just when she's not speaking from a script, it comes out.

    she sucks. I could stand about 5 minutes of it before guiding my XM elsewhere.

    ESPN TV and Radio seems caught in a whirlpool of the obnoxious and the bland.

    Linda is a nice person and very likeable. Unfortunately, her show will not end well.

    That's a Brooklyn accent, so fuggedaboutit. She once explained on the air that a speech teacher instructed her to open her mouth wider when reading for TV, to help eliminate her accent.

    That said, have at it.
