So do they send their people to a red state on a mission like the Mormons? Do we have to go to the most liberal city in the US to get our assignment?

 

This is part of building a 50-state base (first popularized by Howard Dean and Daily Kos) that conservatives love to chuckle about because Joe Lieberman beat Ned Lamont.

So, the righties can have their yuks. I'll take Jim Webb and Jon Tester in the Senate, a House seat in Missi-frickin-ssippi, and Republicans having to play defense in parts of the country they have taken for granted for decades.

 

Could be worse. You could be one of those peacenicks who went to Baghdad before the war and the government used you on one of the oil sites as protection from missiles.
