Here's the scoop. Jay Mariotti announces plans to branch out:

Column writing has been a labor of love for 25 years, allowing me to see the world and cover some of the greatest athletes and events in sports. But it's time to step back from the daily sportswriting grind and focus on my other media ventures, including a book project.

Let's help Jay with some suggested titles/topics:

She Hits Like A Girl: The untold story of female on male violence.

Flip Floppers Through History: Men who felt very strongly both ways and had trouble making up their minds.

Size Doesn't Matter: How the "vertically challenged" have triumphed and made a difference.

I have to admit, Sock, the thread title alone made me laugh.

    lol

What an ass this guy is.

  12. Nice strategy, get out of the public eye for a while, and maybe by the time the book comes out, people will forget about what I did. I concur, on the ass comment.
