Maybe the afternoon sports shouters on ESPN have the holiday week off.

This is just filler programming. Don't overthink it.

That was prudent of them to keep all of those seats dry.

Most viewers are probably taking a break and resting up for tomorrow’s sure-to-be-famous game.

The "asshat" ESPN referee was Bill Lemonnier, a long time Big Ten referee and one of the best in the country. You can't push a defender out of the play. It's a pick play and it was a tough but correct call.

For the second straight year, BC's bowl game is delayed by weather. What are the odds the same team will be invited to bowl games in consecutive years but actually play either game?

Even Mother Nature has limits and apparently 12 Boston College games is enough.

    I can answer that.

Absolutely 100% happier with the Rose Bowl win than facing LSU in the playoff. Not a moment's hesitation. Seeing Herbert go out a Rose Bowl champ was pretty wonderful.

Plaschke's column today said that Oregon has taken over SoCal. 30 of their players are from within 70 miles of Pasadena. Accompanying quotes from several players, coaches and parents: if you want to win the Pac-12 and the Rose Bowl, go to Oregon.

I was thinking last night that Oregon will be tough to derail in the Pac-12. It was many years ago that followers felt if Arizona State ever got its shit together, it would be unbeatable in the Pac-10. John Cooper did it, but the others couldn't sustain it. Oregon is in that position now. Good city, unlimited funds, unmatched facilities. Can the Ducks sustain it? No reason why they shouldn't.

    Enjoyed the Plaschke column.

I would think the fact that Oregon was able to bounce back quickly after the Helfrich years is a very good sign that they'll be able to sustain it.

Did you see him early on when Michigan had a 2-1 advantage in time of possession? He's an angry little elf.
