Orange Bowl is gonna suck. Too bad it's obligated to take an ACC team. Boise State-Florida would be a lot more attractive. Virginia had a nice season, but isn't Orange Bowl-worthy by any stretch of the imagination.

Boise-Washington has interest, the Chris Petersen Bowl.

AFA-WSU, what a difference in offenses.

Wonder if EMU will charter to the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit? Or just Uber.

I've never understood the Citrus and the Outback having the same conference match-ups, playing in the same area and the same time. I realize Citrus is the higher tier

40 bowl games. That is about 20 too many. Now get off my lawn

There’s about eight games I give a shit about, and that’s being generous.

And why is the championship game three weeks after the semis?

I can get to 12 that there's some interest in:

    Boise State vs. Washington
    Oklahoma State vs. Texas A&M
    USC vs. Iowa
    Air Force vs. Washington State
    Penn State vs. Memphis
No. 2 Ohio State vs. No. 3 Clemson
No. 1 LSU vs. No. 4 Oklahoma
    Utah vs. Texas
    Michigan vs. Alabama
    Oregon vs. Wisconsin
Georgia vs. Baylor (depending on the QB situation)
    National Title Game

Pac-12 officials for the national title game. What could go wrong?

The best Pac-12 officials usually get snapped up by the NFL. The top guys in the Big 12 and Big 10 seem to have been there forever.

The championship game is actually Jan. 13, but that's still too long of a break. With the semis Dec. 28, the final should be Monday, Jan. 6. They lose momentum among the casual fan with the long layoff. Plus the NFL playoffs will have kicked in, drawing interest away from the final.

And it was elevated to a New Year's Six bowl when it's not a semifinal.
This is actually the second time the Peach Bowl has been a semifinal, though. It was in 2017 as well.
