    Disapointed I missed this thread two days ago when i went home to see my folks.

    My thoughts and prayers are with those fighting now and for those who have lost someone important to them.

    wars have a long standing tradition in my family going back at least to the Civil War, both of my grandpas fought in WWII -- My grandfather on my dad's side was a highly decorated infantry man but he died about eight years ago. My other grandfather was a photographer in WWII and even photographed the surender of Japan. He is now fighting alzhymers. I also have a great uncle who I beilivved was part of the attack on Normandy. None of them talk about the war much if at all.

    Friends of mine also lost a good friend of their`s (I had only met him once or twice) in Afghanistan, he was an engineer with the Canadian Forces and I believe they were on their way out to a site when they hit a land mine and that was it. It was a tough day for a lot of people I know.

    My hat goes off to them all.
