Nightline averages about 3.6 million viewers nightly, while Leno is at about 5 million. ABC might be very interested in gaining viewers with a show that's probably much cheaper to produce.

I think Richter has done four sitcoms since leaving.

Andy Richter controls the Universe was absolutely hilarious. I think they still show it on HDNET. I, of course, discovered the show long after Fox had canceled it.

The one from like two years ago where he played the PI had potential, but I think lasted four episodes.

Watched Conan because I just couldn't stand Craig Ferguson's predecessor, Craig Kilborn (smug, smarmy jerk).

But when Kilborn exited, I began watching Ferguson from the beginning. He has gotten better as time as progressed to the point that I watch him all the time now.

I would not be sorry to see Leno replace (or at least be broadcast ahead of) Jimmy Kimmel, but I don't see Leno really going to ABC. I really don't.

It all went downhill for Conan when Pimpbot and the pooping robot exited stage left.

Good for him. I'm jealous of his pouch.
