Leitch isn't the only Deadspinner leaving the site. David Hirshey was picked up by ESPN.com ...

Since you're so superior to those lowly bloggers, we're sure you can do better than recycling a post that wasn't especially witty in the first place.

Enjoy having editors that won't put up with your crap. I'm sure you'll handle the adjustment well.

Say what you will about Deadspin. I don't read it regularly, but I admire the work that goes into it. It has been a major model showing what sports media can be today and in the future.

You do realize he did a baseball blog last year for the NYT and is a contributor to Play, right? Also, in a previous life he was an editor for Sporting News. I always find it funny when people like yourself make these comments and fail to realize his background also includes some rather traditional outlets.

He's also written for NY magazine (obviously), Fast Company, done stories/interviews for GQ and a host of others.

I admire someone who can stand by their misinformed opinions convictions.

I always thought Will's original essay about getting dumped by his fiancee was solid, almost like something that could have been written as a confessional here on SportsJournalists.com. He wrote it back when he was writing for The Black Table in the pre-Deadspin era.
