Fuck. Me. I did the same thing, Riverman. Just to hear that voice.

One of my two favorite PBP announcers in the world. Listen to him, then listen to Vin and know that you're taken care of on all fronts; that it doesn't get any better than this for a baseball fan.

Stunned and saddened -- and I'm not even a Phillies fan. :'( :'(

RIP to one of the true Voices ever.

I'm starting to tear up. This hurts my heart to hear the news.

Didn't he take over for John Facenda as the voice of NFL Films?

    RIP

    RIP to a true legend.

  6. This hits me HARD. Harry the K was the voice that introduced me to baseball in the summer of 1989 for a really terrible Phillies team. RIP Harry.

All the good ones are signing off, it seems. RIP Harry. Stay healthy, Vin.

Silver, I suspect Harry introduced baseball to generations of baseball fans in the Philadelphia area. I know he did for me and all my friends. It was a terrible shock when Whitey passed in '97, but I was probably too young to grasp the full weight of it, then. Now Harry's gone, and I can't help feeling a little bit of baseball's spirit is, too.

  10. I was 15 the summer Whitey died and I was absolutely stunned, but today I'm extremely sad. Harry was a true treasure, and I'm glad he got to call one more World Series for the Phils.

Wow, RIP Harry, I will never forget my 1 minute in your presence.
    Damn, I'm stunned.
I wish I could hear the Phils' broadcast today, instead of the Nats.
