Lefties read more books than righties

    Schroeder's remarks were stupid and ridiculous. Hell, her response should have been that the publishing industry needs to do a better job of publishing books that appeal to conservatives.

    I'll waste no time defending Pat Schroeder as a person, but her hard-left views don't disqualify her from holding the high ground, in this one.

    Ever heard of Regnery Books?

    How about Regency?

    And remember Ann Coulter's "Slander" was published by Random, surely the epitome of New York based "liberal" publishing.

    Wow. That was a really uninteresting story. Maybe liberals just read shorter books. Anyone think of that?

    As the head of the publishers association Schroeder should realize that her job is to get more people to read more books, not to belittle a large segment of the reading public. Bringing up Karl Rove and "slogans" was just a cheap shot unbecoming of her position, unless she has data that supports her theory.
