Lee's down to $3.26 per share. Anyone else worried? Anyone heard anything?

I'm too old to be traded. A million-to-one shot.

And while I am quoting the greatest hockey movie ever, it all rings too true in light of that info.

Lee's plunge continues after company reports 3Q profits down a whopping 87%. Compnay lost like 12% of its value today alone, but is up slightly from its $2.99 5-year-slow it hit a few weeks ago. When a share of Lee costs less than a double-double - panic!

Too bad gas prices aren't falling as fast as Lee's stock.

The Newsosaur guy wrote a blog during mid July suggesting some, like Lee, buy back stock while it's cheap and go private. Dunno if that will help or make it worse. I understand JRC stock dropped below a nickel recently.

So, just what happens when companies like these go to shit? (Thinly veiled attempt to wonder if I'm going to lose my job before Christmas.)

Let's not forget Lee CEO Mary Junck (appropriate name, that) gave herself a 17.8 percent raise, notwithstanding the stock's performance. Fucking bitch.

On an unrelated note, JRC stock worth less than a nickel.

It's not her fault. It's the "economic downturn."

The purchase of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch has really hurt them. They had no business buying a paper that size, because I don't think they knew how much in the long run it was going to cost them.
