Most of us are probably wondering what you're talking about.

Sorry to be unclear. Its a fitness challenge for Lee, as in Lee Enterprises.

Followed by a cut in benefits. After all, if you need health care, you just suck.

Companies enjoy passing blame onto their employees for their health. In some cases, it's justified. Often it's not, though.

If that includes walking to the coffee pot and outside for a smoke break, that's nothing.

I thought this was an offshoot on the Simpson's Lee Carvallo Putting Challenge.

Nothing...if you take, oh, 320 coffee breaks and 320 smoke breaks a day.

I started this thread mostly because I'm amused by how folks brazenly lie in these things. In the grand scheme, it doesn't mean squat. In the less-grander scheme, it also doesn't mean squat, because the prizes (there are prizes!) are awarded based on random draw from all participants, without regard to achievement.

There was a parallel in last year's "Walk Across Lee" contest, when the Week 1 leaderboard revealed people who were basically walking the equivalent of a marathon a day, seven days a week.

Lee: Welcome to Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge. I am Carvallo. Now,
    choose a club. ["beep"]
You have chosen a three wood. May I suggest a putter? ["beep"]
Three wood. Now enter the force of your swing. I suggest feather
    touch. ["beep beep beep"]
You have entered "power drive". Now, push seven eight seven to
    swing. ["beep beep beep"]
[he swings; the ball bounces into the parking lot]
Ball is in: parking lot. Would you like to play again? ["beep"]
    You have selected "no".
