Vows to return for 2009 season:

Whatever you think of the guy, he's done a lot for the popularity of college football. Get well soon, Lee.

    Lee's great.

Maybe his analysis isn't exactly spot on, but I know I tune in to see what mascot he's putting on his head.

He'll just be not so fast my friend.

    (ducking)

Really hope he's back and better than ever. He's great.

Game Day will just not be the same if he can't make it back.

Gotta agree with that one. I love how he can just fire up or get the hatred of the crowd so easily.

I'm not a fan, I kind of consider him to be college football's Dick Vitale, and I don't mean that as a compliment.

That said, Gameday needs him. I hope he recovers.

The only thing I would agree on in comparison to Vitale is love of game,

Vitale shows obvious bias towards some teams and players. Corso seems to strike a fair balance.

Best wishes to Lee Corso. A great personality and ambassador for college football who makes Gameday excellent television. Keep on truckin', Sunshine Scooter!

I wonder if he'll come back strong or like Mike Gottfried - nearly unlistenable...
