I did not know until recently that Pat Forde is the father of NCAA champion swimmers.

Reminds me of a couple of helicopter dads I had to put up with yesterday in a couple of games I was on the floor for, including a mom in our faces after a legal pick at the end of the game knocked her kid down.

Kornheiser always asks him about it when Forde calls into his podcast. His daughter sounds like a potential Olympian.

And this explains how Frank Vogel got the Lakers gig.

Damn. Does LeBron not understand the sanctity of the AAU game? Proper decorum, please!

I will now wring my hands in concern.

And it's tragic if his actions distracted anyone from the crucial, long-awaited matchup between Strive For Greatness and Bates Fundamentals.

I will bet you that every single kid on both teams will remember LeBron cheering and coaching them for the rest of their lives. That's probably the coolest thing they've ever experienced. The idea that people would complain that he turned an AAU game into a circus... I mean, c'mon, man.

    He's doing everyone's job. Stop.

    Let coaches coach.
    Let players play.
    Let trainers be trainers
Let clock operators be clock operators
    Let scorekeepers be scorekeepers
    Let officials officiate.
Let game management kick out asshole parents.

Stand in the damn corner and cheer your kid, but otherwise, STFU.

And deny those players the coolest memory of their lives?

Are you suggesting it would not be the case?

Or is it simply not important that the kids enjoy themselves? Or is it more important that somebody makes sure LeBron knows his place?

It's a goddamn AAU basketball game. I'm not going to get angry that the timekeeper was unable to do his job in a properly refined environment.

Honestly not sure what the complaint is here.
